FIELD: railway transport; permanent way maintenance and repair facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed tie-tamping machine 1 has frame 2 and frame 11 for mounting tamping units arranged between running wheels 3 and made for movement by running mechanism 14 with drive 18 to operate tamping units and connected with machine frame by means of frame fasteners 17 for longitudinal displacement. Drive 21 with acceleration is provided to assist tamping units drive, drive 21 being rigidly connected with frame of machine 2 or with frame 11 for tamping units by means of drive fasteners and provided with thrust member on end of piston for temporary adjoining machine frame 2. Maximum length of travel of drive 21 with acceleration is less than maximum shift between frame 2 of machine and frame 11 for units. Method to maintain relative displacement between machine frame 2 and unit frame 11 is provided by combined setting into action of tamping unit drive 18 and drive 21 with acceleration to move thrust member together with frame 11 for tamping units from initial position into final position, disconnection of thrust member and unit frame 11 and its further movement by means of tamping units drive 18, changing over hydraulic drive 21 into floating position, moving thrust member traveling forward owing to continuous movement of machine frame 2, to tamping unit frame 11 which stands still for executing tamping of track ties and automatic return of thrust member into initial position owing to displacement of machine frame 2 relative to fixed tamping unit frame 11. ^ EFFECT: provision of better acceleration of frame for tamping units. ^ 4 cl, 4 dwg |
