<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel that allows input operations to be performed in different ways for different areas. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of dot spacers 20 on the touch panel 10 are arranged at relatively long intervals p1 in a first area 30 where it is desired to allow input by both a finger and a stylus pen, and at shorter intervals p2 than the intervals p1 in a second area 40 where it is desired to inhibit input by a fingertip but to allow input by a stylus pen.
