PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination device capable of determining whether a material molded into a circular shape, an elliptical shape or a spherical shape as a required shape satisfies the required shape or not. SOLUTION: A compound D rounded by a compound rounding machine 20 is photographed by a camera 30. A photographed image is processed in the determination device 40, to determine whether a two-dimensional shape satisfies the required shape or not, based on a ratio of a square value of the maximum radius from a gravity center position of an imaged shape to a square value of an average radius thereof (i.e. area ratio of circular shapes having those as radii). The determination device 40 corrects an operation condition in the compound rounding machine 20 when not satisfying a prescribed roundness degree, to correct rounding treatment for the compound.
