摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge pump circuit with improved efficiency, capable of providing a regulated output voltage. SOLUTION: Input voltage is input through an input terminal and a common terminal, and output voltage is generated through an output terminal and the common terminal. A charge pump voltage regulator is constituted so that it can be operated in a plurality of modes for energy transfer between the input terminal and the output terminal, and comprises the charge pump circuit connected to the input terminal, the output terminal, and the common terminal; an output detection circuit for determining the regulation conditions for ensuring the output voltage is within a preferred range; an oscillation circuit for generating a clock signal; and a control circuit constituted so that it is operable, to selectively operate the charge pump circuit in three or more modes, in each of which a specific ratio of the input voltage and the output voltage is determined, and connected to the output detection circuit and the oscillation circuit. The control circuit receives an input signal from the output detection circuit and the oscillation circuits and selects one of the modes to operate the charge pump circuit, based on the input signal.
