PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a radio communication apparatus connected to an output device with a wired cable to know, on early stage, that the output device is unavailable because it is under output processing, by estimating an operating state of the output device and notifying a radio communication party about the estimated state. SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus comprises a means for monitoring its logical communication path and an estimation means for estimating an operating state of a device that does not include a radio communication function, connected by a wired interface, from a result of the monitoring means. In the case that the estimation means judges that a logical network is opened, the operating state of the connected device is estimated as BUSY and in the case that the judging means judges that the logical network is closed, the operating state of the connected device is estimated as IDLE.
