The method involves modifying allocation of determined steering positions of wheels (1, 2) to corresponding positions of a steering wheel (3) based on standard allocation. The standard allocation of determined positions of the wheels to the corresponding positions of the steering wheel acts on the steering positions of the wheels dependent on variation of the standard allocation. The steering positions of the wheels are automatically modified so that the positions correspond with one steering position of the steering wheel. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising wheels.
