The method involves applying foil shield on stranding element (3a, 3b,13) and on bundle of stranding elements and stranding the shielded stranding elements by a stranding device (6). The band-shaped foil material (5a,5b) feeds a stranding element and bundle in a point angle in longitudinal direction and is clasped by stranding element following a passage of clasping funnel. The shielded stranding elements is stranded by a double blow stranding device (7). An independent claim is also included for a plant for manufacturing a cable.
