The method involves positioning a bevel (12) and pivoting a saw device and a vertical stopper in a saw-miter angle position relative to each other such that side pieces (13, 14) of the bevel lies at the vertical stopper and a bevel marker (16) and a light marker of a miter are coincident or parallel. The bevel marker is arranged at a bisecting line of a standard angle position adjusted to the bevel or parallel to the bisecting line. The light marker is arranged at an intersection line of the saw device or parallel to the intersection line. An independent claim is also included for a system for making miter cuts.
