<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Magnus type wind power generator capable of efficiently generating power in correspondence with wind velocity even when the wind velocity of natural wind changes due to a time zone, season, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This Magnus type wind power generator is furnished with a horizontal rotation axis 5 to transmit rotating torque to a power generating mechanism part 3 and a required number of rotating columns 7 radially arranged from this horizontal rotation axis 5 and drives the power generating mechanism part 3 by rotating the horizontal rotation axis 5 by Magnus lift Y generated by correlation of rotation of each of the rotating columns 7 and wind power as each of the rotating columns 7 rotates around an axis of the rotating column 7.
