The present invention prevents the generation of noise due to the rattling of a light guide plate caused by the loosening and such of a claw lock part. The present invention pertains to a vehicle-use instrument device (1) in which a light guide plate (5) for guiding illumination light to a character plate (2) is accommodated in a light guide plate accommodating recess (6) formed in a housing (3) for attaching the character plate (2), and the light guide plate (5) is fixed to the housing (3) using a claw lock part (7). A lateral face of the light guide plate (5) has disposed thereon a press-fitting rib (21) that extends towards a lateral wall of the light guide plate accommodating recess (6). The press-fitting rib (21) is provided with a height-increasing tapered section (25) in which the rib height (H1-H3) increases from the far side towards the near side of the light guide plate accommodating recess (6). The press-fitting rib (21) is provided with a width-decreasing tapered section (26) in which the rib width (W1-W3) decreases from the far side towards the near side of the light guide plate accommodating recess (6).
