PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in regard to a dietary fiber-inclusion food product obtained from an apple as a raw material and focusing on the fact that only about 10% of fruit juice (water content) remains in the apple lee obtained by squeezing with a press-type squeezer, a novel use for an apple squeezed lee as a food product, and a method in which the yield of the fruit juice is increased as well as the food product waste material is decreased.SOLUTION: Provided is a use as a functional food for an apple squeezed lee powder obtained by crushing, after squeezing a fruit juice by about 90% or more with a press-type squeezer or the like, the apple squeezed lee into a size of 10 mm or less, and subjecting to drying, and pulverizing with a cyclone mill (airflow grinder) 7 to an average grain size of 45 μm or less, preferably 35 μm or less.EFFECT: By use of a press-type squeezer, the utilization rate of the fruit juice increased from the conventional 30% level to up to 90%, the cost and time for the drying of squeezed lee can also be reduced, and the road for the squeezed lee to an effective utilization other than farmyard manure can be pioneered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
