PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect that a spray amount of a liquid is reduced.SOLUTION: A liquid coating device comprises: a transport part 3 for transporting a storage case 2; a spray part 4 for spraying the liquid toward the storage case 2 which is transported by the transport part 3; a light emission part 6 for emitting a light signal C toward a predicted spray area A that is a spray area of the liquid during normal time of the spray part 4; a light reception part 7 for receiving the light signal C which has passed the predicted spray area A; and a determination part 8 for determining the spray state of the liquid based on the light reception state of the light signal C on the light reception part 7. The predicted spray area A is the area which expands more, toward a spray center B extending linearly from the spray part 4, as separating from the spray part 4. The light emission part 6 emits the light signal C toward the position separated from the spray center B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
