<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic acid deodorant improving deodorizing capacity to basic malodor component such as ammonia to 50% or more of the theoretical value. SOLUTION: A deodorant comprises a composition in which amorphous silica with an average pore diameter in a range of 100 to 600 angstrom and with a pore volume (nitrogen adsorption method) in a range of 0.5 to 2.0 ml/g, and organic acid exist at the weight ratio of 90:10 to 50:50. In this case, at least a part of organic acid exists in the pores of the amorphous silica, and in the amorphous silica, the solid acid quantity in acid strength of +1.5 or less in an acidity function Ho is 0, and the solid acid quantity in acid strength up to +4.8 in the acidity function Ho is in a range of 0.01 to 0.40 mmol/g.</p> |
