PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single facer, in which the influence of a labyrinth is removed and, at the same time, the deflection of waveform forming rolls can be prevented from developing with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Waveform forming nips are formed by means of nips 16 between a small-diameter waveform forming roll 12 and a large-diameter waveform forming roll 11. In order to ensure a necessary waveform forming nip pressure and to prevent the small-diameter waveform forming roll 12 from deflecting to the direction normal to its axis line, a pressingly rotary roll device 36 is arranged so as to apply a downward sloping pressing force to the small-diameter waveform forming roll 12. The pressingly rotary roll device 36 consists of a pair of free rolls 38 and a pressing belt 42 spanned between a pair of the free rolls 38. |
