PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a span adjusting jig capable of performing an operation to adjust the span of steel-frame columns easily at a low cost and safely without noise. SOLUTION: A span adjusting jig used, in building a steel frame, to perform the adjustment of a span of steel-frame columns 40 opposed to each other together with a hydraulic jack 50 having one end in contact with the opposed side surfaces 40a of the steel-frame columns 40 comprises a main body part 10 fixed to a lifting piece 45 installed projectedly on the upper surface of a steel-frame beam 43 installed between the steel-frame columns 40 for suspending the steel-frame beam 43 and a steel plate 20 installed on the main body part 10 in parallel with a side surface 40a and in contact with the other end of the hydraulic jack 50.
