<p>An apparatus for pressing blocks from foam flocks, optionally supplemented with another material, which apparatus is provided with a pressing unit (1), which pressing unit (1) is provided with a bottom wall, two sidewalls and a number of pressing stamps (7), the pressing unit (1) being provided with only two, opposite pressing stamps (7) movable away from and towards each other substantially in horizontal direction. The invention also relates to a method for pressing blocks from foam flocks, optionally supplemented with another material, wherein an amount of foam flocks is introduced into a pressing unit (1) and the foam flocks are compressed by a number of pressing stamps (7), and wherein the compression of the foam flocks is carried out in that only two, opposite pressing stamps (7) are moved in a substantially horizontal direction from a position wherein they are moved apart to a position wherein they are moved towards each other. <IMAGE></p> |
