<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact material for an air electrode excellent in power generating performance under an air environment and capable of restraining destruction of unit cells without damaging an intrinsic power generating performance of the unit cells, as well as a solid oxide fuel cell using the material, in case of use for an air electrode contact layer of the solid oxide fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The contact material for the air electrode contains at least silver powder or silver alloy powder and perovskite oxide powder. As the perovskite oxide, lanthanam-cobalt system oxide is preferred. Further, the solid oxide fuel cell made by laminating unit cells in multiple layers through separators each jointing fuel electrode on one face of a solid electrolyte showing oxygen ion conductivity and jointing the air electrode on the other face has the air electrode contact layer intercalated between the air electrode and the separator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
