<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant monitoring device capable of adding a comment relevant to event information and of storing it in a database. <P>SOLUTION: This plant monitoring device has: input devices 11, 12, 13 for obtaining monitoring data from a plant to be monitored; monitoring computers 21, 22, 23 for obtaining the contents of the change of the state of the plant, the generating time of the change of the state and identification information the as event information when the change of the state of the plant to be monitored is detected based on the variation of the obtained monitoring data; and a database 3 for sequentially storing the event information. It also has a printer server 4 for accessing the database for every prescribed period to judge the existence of unobtained event information and obtaining the unobtained event information and displaying it on a display 7 when the unobtained event information exists, and a printer 5 for printing out a display content of the display 7 at a timing designated by a user.
