<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner bottle 20 that assures satisfactory discharging property of the toner from an opening part 23 and lessens the sticking toner to the external face of the toner to the external face of the toner bottle 20 which is in the vicinity of the opening part 23, as compared with the conventional toner bottles. <P>SOLUTION: The opening part 23 is formed in one end wall of the toner bottle 20 such that the diameter of the opening part 23 is smaller than that of the cylindrical main body part. In addition, a projecting part part 85 for lifting toner is formed in such a manner that part of the internal face of the shoulder of an end face having the opening part 23 formed in it is projected to the edge of the opening part 23 from the internal face of the shoulder. Further, the internal face of the circumferential wall of the container that continues to the projecting part 85 in a circumferential direction is projected beyond the edge of the opening part 23 in the direction of the center line L of the rotation of the container. Thereby, a part 86 projecting in the opening is formed. The toner bottle 20 is substantially horizontally placed on the bottle holder of a toner replenishing device such that the opening part 23 faces a lateral direction.
