<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a correction value appropriate for each of the following portions, by bringing about mutually different ways to determine the correction value corresponding to the portion in which a medium can be stably conveyed and the correction value corresponding to the portion in which the medium cannot be stably conveyed. <P>SOLUTION: This correction value determination method comprises a step of making a head record a first pattern for checking the amount of the conveyance of the medium, and a step of determining a first correction value on the basis of the first pattern. The correction value determination method also comprises a step of making the head record a second pattern for checking the amount of the conveyance of the medium while conveying the medium by correcting the target amount of the conveyance of the medium by means of the first correction value, and a step of determining a second correction value on the basis of the second pattern. Furthermore, the correction value determination method also comprises a step of determining the correction value of the target amount of the conveyance by bringing about mutually different ways to use the first and second correction values corresponding to relative positions when the medium makes an entry into a roller installed on the conveyance-direction downstream side of the head, and to use the first and second correction values corresponding to relative positions except when the medium makes the entry into the roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
