PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face similarity retrieval system capable of recognizing similarity with more specific reality. SOLUTION: The face similarity retrieval system comprises a reference face image input part 4 for inputting a reference face image 3 from a terminal device 2 as a cellular phone with a camera, a database 6 storing character face images 5 of characters such as famous persons and animals, and a retrieval processing part 9 comparing the input reference face image 3 from the reference face image input part 4 with the character face images 5 stored in the database 6, indicating similarity as a percentage, and transmitting a comment 8 of a comment registration part 7 to the terminal device 2.
