EXHAUST NOx CLEANING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust NOx cleaning method which enables an effective cleaning treatment of exhaust NOx of conventionally difficult post injection type.

SOLUTION: A Pt-based catalyst, which is supported by a meso-porous material having meso-pores and a high specific surface area, is used so that NOx in a conventionally difficult lean-burn atmosphere (ordinarily, oxygen concentration atmosphere of 5% or more) is treated by cleaning at 160-400°C using fatty-group hydrocarbon of low reducibility.
