<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice mail system in which a stored speech message can be used in a particularly flexible way. <P>SOLUTION: A voice mail system 1 receives a message sent by a calling party 6 via a recorder 4 and stores it in a message storage 2 together with identification data.
