PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that allows a display area to have the same color as its peripheral area when the display device is not operated.SOLUTION: A display device 100 includes: a liquid crystal display 20 having a display area and its peripheral non-display area; a liquid crystal shutter 10 arranged to be laminated on the liquid crystal display 20 and having a first area corresponding to the display area and a second area corresponding to the non-display area; and a control part 200 that sets the first area to a transmission state and the second area to a non-transmission state respectively when the display area is operated and that sets the first and second areas to non-transmission states when the display area is not operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
