PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular orthopedic hip prosthesis that is implantable in a bone of a patient at a position fitted to anatomical structure of a patient.SOLUTION: An implantable modular implantable orthopedic hip prosthesis 10 includes an implantable distal stem component including: a tapered post formed on an external surface and configured to be received in a tapered bore of the implantable distal body component 12; a series of female screws extending downward into the distal stem component, where an outermost edge of a thread of each of the series of female screws is rounded; and blind holes that have upper ends opened to the inside of the lower ends of the series of female screws, extend downward from the series of the female screws, and have rounded lower ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
