摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact modulation light source not using a DFB laser, in which power efficiency of a wavelength regulation mechanism and modulation is enhanced, by ensuring reliability of the modulation light source.SOLUTION: A modulation light source includes: a FP laser 1 for oscillating in a plurality of Fabry-Perot(FP) modes; a ring modulator 2 that is a modulation filter having bandpass characteristics for modulating the center wavelength; a DBR mirror 3 of light reflection mechanism for feeding only the light passed through the ring modulator 2 back to the FP laser 1 selectively; and a PD4, a wavelength controller 5 and a heater 6, as a wavelength regulation mechanism for regulating the center wavelength so as to match the oscillation wavelength of a predetermined FP mode, when oscillating the light fed back to the FP laser 1 selectively, as the seed light of inductive emission, with the oscillation wavelength of a predetermined FP mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
