PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device and a program, capable of precisely detecting a recording element which is in an abnormal state.SOLUTION: By driving a nozzle 52 which is a target to be detected for abnormal state, test images T1, T2 are formed on continuous paper P with no region contained that has a predetermined width from an end part of the continuous paper P, in a direction across a transportation direction, in a reading region of image reading parts 70A, 70B, and using reading data acquired by reading with the image reading parts 70A, 70B, the nozzle 52 which is in an abnormal state is detected. Here, an application range of the reading data that is applied for detecting abnormal state is determined not to contain respective reading data of the test images T1, T2 formed with the nozzle 52 to be detected for abnormal state in a duplicated manner for the nozzles 52, and by using the reading data in the determined application range, the nozzle 52 which is in abnormal state is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
