PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, e.g., a method of encoding a packet including data representing a haptic effect associated with an immersive content.SOLUTION: The method includes adding first information in a packet (214), the first information representing a dependency of the haptic effect with regard to a position of a body model in relation to the immersive content. The method further includes adding second information in the packet, the second information representing at least a first part of the body model targeted by the haptic effect.
