PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor capable of suppressing occurrence of a short circuit between inner electrodes, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor having a laminated body 16 and a side margin portion 21 includes an off-set portion 24. The laminated body 16 includes inner electrodes 12, 13 and a dielectric layer 17 which are alternately laminated. The side margin portion 21 is composed of a dielectric body and is provided so as to cover a side surface S of the laminated body 16. The off-set portion 24 is made of an amorphous region or a void region. The off-set portion 24 is formed between the inner electrodes 12, 13 and the side margin portion 21 in a manner such that end portions 22, 23 of the inner electrodes 12, 13 at the side of the side surface S are offset from the side surface in the inside direction of the laminated body 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
