PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device of a novel structure, which can retain memory contents even in a situation where power is not supplied, and which has no limits in rewritable times.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device integrally comprises: a storage circuit in which a transistor using an oxide semiconductor (in the broader sense, a transistor having sufficiently small off-state current) is used; and a peripheral circuit such as a drive circuit in which a transistor using a material other than the oxide semiconductor (in other words, a transistor capable of sufficient high-speed operation) is used. In addition, by disposing the peripheral circuit in a lower part and the storage circuit in an upper part, reduction of an area of the semiconductor device and down sizing of the semiconductor device can be achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
