PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing equipment and a producing method of zinc powder, by which an unmanned operation can be executed without developing any trouble on the operation and the zinc powder having a prescribed grain diameter range can be produced in ex cellent yield by this method. SOLUTION: This producing equipment of the zinc powder is provided with a melting chamber 3 for melting a zinc ingot, a transporting and charging device 1 for transporting and charging a prescribed quantity of the zinc ingot at a fixed time interval into the melting chamber 3 corresponding to the daily production of the zinc powder, a vaporizing chamber 5 for vaporizing molten zinc, a resistance exothermic body disposed in a gaseous phase space in the vaporizing chamber 5, a cooling chamber 20 for cooling the zinc vapor under flowing of an inert gas to produce the zinc powder and a zinc powder collecting device 30 for collecting the zinc powder in the inert gas flowing from the cooling chamber 20. The cooling chamber 20 in the producing equipment of the zinc powder is provided with an inert gas flowing inlet 23 arranged at the upper part of a zinc vapor flowing inlet 21 in the cooling chamber 20 and inert gas guiding plates 25a, 25b respectively arranged at the upper part and the lower part of the inert gas flowing part 24 so as to be freely inclined in the vertical direction.
