PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair-washing composition which gives a good touch, especially extremely excellent finger couxbability, when hair is rinsed, and gives a soft touch without stiffening the hair, when the hair is dried. SOLUTION: This hair-washing composition contains (A) at least one kind of anionic surfactant and (B) a cationic group-containing polymer. Therein, the characteristic comprises that a scattering strength change ratio of inequality I: [dilution I]/[initial period I] in a dilution process until the complex of the polymer with the surfactant is deposited is 1.4 to 2.5, when the composition is diluted with water, or that a scattering strength change ratio of inequality II: [dilution I]/[minimum value I] is further 1,4 to 2.5, when the scattering strength is minimized in the dilution process and further when the scattering strength is increased by the dilution. (In the inequalities I and II, [dilution I] is a relative scattering strength at a dilution ratio just before the deposition is caused by the dilution; [initial period I] is a relative scattering strength before diluted; [minimum value I] is the minimum relative scattering strength, when diluted).
