摘要 PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a plastic optical fiber perform having a refractive gradient using high-speed rotation is provided to form a graded-index plastic optical fiber perform by using monomers having different reactive indexes and different refractive indexes. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of two or more monomers is continuously injected into an optical fiber perform fabrication tube which is rotated at 8,000 to 10,000 rpm. A reacting difference between the monomers is ten times and more and a refractive index difference between the monomers is 0.1 and more. Polymerized materials are formed according to a reactive index by polymerizing the mixture. The polymerized material having the large reactive index is formed on a wall face of the tube. The polymerized material having the small reactive index is formed on a center of the tube. Accordingly, the refractive index increases gradually from the edge to the center of the tube.
