<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-functional image forming apparatus having a plurality of functions such as a printer function, a copy function, a scanner function, and a FAX function or the like for much more effectively utilizing a program stored in a storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: Since the number of storage media mounted on an image forming apparatus is limited, program data or the like stored in a certain storage medium are copied to another storage medium. Thus, it is possible to effectively gather file data, and to simultaneously execute much more programs as the result.
