EXECUTION OF NUMERICAL CONTROL PROGRAM BY ROBOT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method capable of converting a machine tool program of an NC programming language and making a robot controller execute the program.SOLUTION: A robot controller converts an NC program to a robot language according to a conversion constitution table and utilizes the converted language as pseudo program data. The pseudo program data is recorded in a data memory in the robot controller. A miscellaneous code in the NC program is executed as a sub program request using the robot language. The content of the subprogram is freely defined and programmed by a user, and therefore can be customized for a specified application.
