PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant soft resin composition having, as a single or a composite formed article, excellent heat resistance, softness, and thermal fusibility to a polystyrene-based resin or polypropylene-based resin. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains (A) polyphenylene ether-based resin, (B) soft olefin-based resin, and (C) styrene-based elastomer. Relative to 100% by mass of the total resin composition containing (A), (B) and (C), (A), (B) and (C) account for 20 to 78% by mass, 20 to 60% by mass and 2 to 20% by mass, respectively. Relative to 100% by mass of the (B) soft olefin-based resin, (B1) a noncrystalline olefin-based polymer accounts for 30 to 100% by mass and (B2) a crystalline olefin-based polymer accounts for 0 to 70% by mass.
