PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light quantity detector capable of measuring a light quantity, while suppressing influence of noise of light irradiated to an optical sensor. SOLUTION: The light quantity detector 1 includes a resistance element 13, the optical sensor 21 constituted of an n-type thin film transistor, and a capacity 22. One end 13a of the resistance element 13 is connected to a power supply potential (VDD), and a source S of the optical sensor 21 and one electrode 22a of the capacity 22 are connected in parallel to the other end 13b of the resistance element 13, and the light quantity is measured based on a charging voltage when charging the capacity 22 by the power supply potential (VDD) through the resistance element 13.
