PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for display capable of avoiding image quality deterioration due to the difference of extension rate between updated data and data which is not updated in memory front stage backlight control part structure. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal driver, only data expansion processing following the expansion rate among processings of a backlight control part 105 is performed at memory post stage. In addition, in switching to Window display, the extension rate (overall extension rate) in display of the whole screen before the Window display is stored, the extension rate inside a Window is compared with the overall expansion rate, to determine the extension rate.
