PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner removal member which enables the life of an electrophotographic photoreceptor to be further prolonged by reducing wear in both axial edge parts of the electrophotographic photoreceptor thereby axially unifomizing wear of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The toner removal member is characterized in that, when being contacted with the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor for removing toner remaining thereon, the contact pressure with the surface in both axial edge parts of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is smaller than the contact pressure with the surface in the axial central part.
