PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem wherein, in the case where the position of an article on which an ID tag is stuck is searched for in a warehouse or the like, when being influenced by multipath, for example, by existence of a reflection object or the like near the ID tag, accuracy is deteriorated and an accurate position cannot be known. SOLUTION: Transmitters for transmitting position information buried beforehand together with ID are installed on two or more spots on prescribed positions in a warehouse or the like wherein articles are managed, and a handy type receiver is used on the receiver side, and the azimuth of a position of each transmitter is measured on two or more spots, while a human or the like is moving, and thereby the position of the ID tag which is a searching object is specified. Even when being influenced by multipath on some spot by any chance, the influence of the multipath disappears when moving to another place, and the influence of the multipath can be removed to the utmost.
