PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve having a body having a large effect for saving material cost. SOLUTION: A high pressure inlet port 15 and a low pressure outlet port 16 are coaxially formed, and an inlet port 17 and an outlet port 18 for a refrigerant returned to a compressor 1 from an evaporator 5 are coaxially formed. A central hole 14 is formed so as to be orthogonal to these axes. A high pressure introducing hole 19a and a low pressure deriving hole 19b are formed there in the step heights, and a flow passage to the evaporator 5 from a receiver 3 is constituted by pressing a valve seat constituting member 19 of forming a valve seat 20 between these holes. Since the axes of the inlet port 15 and the outlet port 16 and the axis of the inlet port 17 and the outlet port 19 are parallel with each other, the body 13 is formed by processing a body raw material by using the body raw material obtained by molding these prepared holes by hollow extrusion.
