PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a separation inhibiting structure capable of securing a high separation inhibiting function for two pipes connected with each other and allowing efficient and simple execution of disassembly work. SOLUTION: A seal member for sealing the part between an outer circumferential face 2b of the end of a spigot 2 inserted and connected and the inner circumferential face 1a of a socket 1 is installed in the corner part 3 or the circumferential groove 4 formed in the back side of the inner circumferential face 1a of the socket 1 in/with which the spigot 2 is inserted/connected. The opening side inner diameter of the socket 1 is constituted in the bore to permit the separation movement of the lock ring 7 engaged with and retained in the state of inhibiting movement to the end side at least on the circumferential face of the engaging projection 2A integrally projected to the outer circumferential face 2b of the spigot 2 or the outer circumference face of the spigot 2. Furthermore, the separation preventing means A to prevent the separation movement of the spigot 2 to the socket 1 is provided removably with the socket 1 by abutting on the engaging projection 2A or the lock ring 7 from the opening side.
