PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wide light emission area and high light emission efficiency even when a semiconductor laser chip is used as a semiconductor light emitting element for exciting light. SOLUTION: A light source unit comprises the semiconductor laser chip, a light guide body in which a fluorescent body absorbing 1st wavelength light emitted by the semiconductor laser and emitting 2nd wavelength light is dispersed, and a light emission part consisting of a wavelength selection layer which is formed on the surface of the light guide body and reflects the 1st wavelength light and transmits the 2nd wavelength light.
