PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter capable of preventing occurrence of wear and rubbing noise of two cutter blades after cutting a medium.SOLUTION: A cutter 15 includes: a first cutter blades movement mechanism 24 moving a first cutter blades 21 forward and backward between an advanced position 21A where cutting a recording paper sheet 3 and a retracted position 21B separated from the advanced position 21A; and a second cutter blades movement mechanism 25 moving a second cutter blades 22 between a slide contact position 22A where being brought into slide contact with the first cutter blades 21 and cutting the recording paper sheet 3 and a separation position 22B separated from the first cutter blades 21. The second cutter blades movement mechanism 25 disposes the second cutter blades 22 at the separation position 22B before the first cutter blades movement mechanism 24 moves the first cutter blades 21 from the advanced position 21A to the retracted position 21B. Since the two cutter blades 21 and 22 do not rub against each other after cutting the recording paper sheet 3, occurrence of wear and rubbing noise can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
