PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion chamber structure of an engine that can properly make uniform mixed air in a combustion chamber through constitution of securing balance of squish areas in the combustion chamber.SOLUTION: There is provided a combustion chamber structure of an engine, the combustion chamber structure having a piston 10 having a cavity 11 formed, and a cylinder head 30 configured to form a combustion chamber in a pent-roof shape. The piston 10 has an annular part 13 surrounding the outside of the cavity 11 above it, and the annular part 13 has a first piston upper surface part 10A positioned below a pent-roof ridge Y, and a second piston upper surface part 10B positioned below a segment X orthogonal to the pent-roof ridge Y, the capacity ratio of a squish area SA1 formed by the first piston upper surface part 10A to a squish area SA3 formed by the second piston upper surface part 10B being equal to or less than a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
