PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly and outer catheter favorably engaged with the interior of a blood vessel by optimally generating backup force and having high versatility.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10 includes: an inner catheter 30 that includes a tubular part 60 formed with a first penetrating lumen, and a shaft part 70 extending from the tubular part 60 in a proximal direction; and an outer catheter 20 in which a main lumen 41 capable of storing the tubular part 60 and the shaft part 70 is formed. The outer catheter 20 includes a distal-side shaft part opening 45 in which the shaft part 70 can be inserted and at least a part of the tubular part 60 cannot be inserted. The distal-side shaft part opening 45 is formed at a proximal side with respect to a distal-side opening 43 of the main lumen 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
