PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring power output from designated power supply means to a power level required by a load in a shorter time even when the power supply means that supplies power to the load is switched.SOLUTION: A power supply device 10 includes a plurality of constant current output circuits 14 capable of supplying power to a load 12. The constant current output circuits 14 each include a pulse generation section 20 for generating a pulse voltage having a pulse width corresponding to a voltage and current to be output, and a communication section 34 for transmitting/receiving driving information that is information necessary to drive the pulse generation section 20 to/from other constant current output circuits 14. If an anomaly occurs in the constant current output circuit 14 that supplies power to the load 12 and the constant current output circuit 14 that supplies power to the load 12 is switched to another constant current output circuit 14, the latter constant current output circuit 14 uses the driving information received via the communication section 34 in driving the pulse generation section 20.
