PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve torque density and efficiency of electrical machines by utilizing the fundamental harmonic of a plurality of first permanent magnets.SOLUTION: An electrical machine comprises a plurality of first permanent magnets 504 and a plurality of second permanent magnets 510 having different number of pole pairs, a plurality of pole-pieces 508 that enable magnetic interaction between the plurality of permanent magnets, and winding 514a, 514b that couples with the first/fundamental harmonic of the plurality of first permanent magnets 504 to enable electromechanical energy conversion. |
