PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of properly moving a sensor section with a plurality of detection switches to a position for detecting the type of a tape.SOLUTION: A printing device includes: a side sensor body section 8; and a side sensor cam or the like. The side sensor body section 8 is movable to a detection position for detecting the type of a tape. The side sensor cam moves the side sensor body section 8 to the detection position in a closing process in which a cover is closed with respect to a body housing. The side sensor body section 8 includes a guide section 4 and a holding section 91. The guide section 4 includes a first inclined surface 43. The holding section 91 includes a guide shaft 95 having a second inclined surface 954 and a reference surface 953. The first inclined surface 43 extends in a direction inclined to the left side along the above from a position where the first inclined surface is arranged with the guide shaft 95 in a longitudinal direction. The side sensor cam comes into contact with the first inclined surface 43, the second inclined surface 954, and the reference surface 953 in this order so as to move the side sensor body section 8 to the detection position in the closing process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
