PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet sterilization device using a DUV-LED as an ultraviolet light source which can be used as a portable device and can improve operability of sterilization of an object.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet sterilization device comprises an ultraviolet sterilization unit which includes: a housing having an opening; an ultraviolet transmitting window which transmits ultraviolet light, has an inner surface and an outer surface on the opposite side of the inner surface, and arranges the inner surface to face the inside of the housing to close the opening of the housing; a light source which has at least one ultraviolet light emitting diode to emit ultraviolet rays as a band-shaped light flux; and scanning means which, by irradiating the ultraviolet rays emitted from the light source while shifting a position, from which the ultraviolet rays emitted from the light source is incident to the ultraviolet transmitting window, in a direction intersecting the width direction of the band-shaped light flux, can irradiate the ultraviolet rays emitted from the light source onto the whole surface of the inner surface of the ultraviolet transmitting window from the inside of the housing. The ultraviolet sterilization device performs sterilization by irradiating the ultraviolet rays onto an object to be disinfected placed opposite the outer surface of the ultraviolet transmitting window.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
